About the Role:
The Florida Panthers are seeking dynamic and skilled ice skaters to join our Ice Crew. This co-ed group supports game operations by clearing the ice surface of snow during media timeouts and assisting with on-ice promotions. As an Ice Crew member, you will be part of the Game Presentation Department, engaging with fans and creating an exciting atmosphere during games.
What Does the Ice Crew Do?
The Ice Crew members are proficient ice skaters who:
- Clear the ice surface of snow during media timeouts.
- Help with on-ice promotions and entertainment.
- Engage with the crowd and support game presentation activities.
- Work in a high-energy, professional NHL environment.
Responsibilities:
- Sprint skate around the rink to collect remnant snow or rats from the ice surface at least nine times per game.
- Assist with on-ice promotions, ensuring the smooth setup and execution of activities during game breaks.
- Safely escort fans and invited talent on and off the ice within NHL timing requirements.
- Assist with in-game video feature shoots as needed.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of management, staff, guests, children, executives, celebrities, players, and VIPs, even under pressure.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be proficient at ice skating; professional training (hockey, figure, etc.) is not required.
- Comfortable performing in front of large crowds and on camera.
- Flexible schedule with open availability for 80% of all home games, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- General knowledge of NHL and hockey.
- Energetic, outgoing personality with a strong work ethic and positive demeanor.
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Successfully pass a background investigation.
- Passionate about the Florida Panthers brand and team.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a non-exempt, flat-rate position. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings. Team members should plan for 12-25 hours of work per week on average and be committed to being available for 75% of all home games.
