As the U14 Head Coach in the Academy, you will be responsible for creating a learning environment that balances challenges and support for each individual player. You will manage and develop each player through the delivery of the NYCFC Player Development Program and Game Model. This role includes overseeing daily training sessions, match preparation, and working cooperatively with other Academy teams and staff, maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Duties:

• Plan, deliver, and review coaching practices according to the NYCFC methodology.
• Implement tactical periodization and practice designs to enhance the understanding of the NYCFC Game Model.
• Provide 1-to-1 player development support through Individual Development Plans with actionable feedback (at least three times a year, plus ongoing informal feedback).
• Adhere to all competition guidelines in entered competitions.
• Represent NYCFC positively, including on social media.
• Ensure the continued development and progression of Academy players within the system.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience coaching at the youth academy level.
• USSF ‘B’ License (or higher) required.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
• Knowledge of tactical periodization and its implementation.
• Growth mindset and enthusiasm for joining the team.

Additional Requirements:

• Compliance with MLS Next Safety and Well-Being policy and other child safety policies provided by NYCFC.
• Ability to work games scheduled at night, weekends, and holidays.
• COVID-19 vaccination required as a condition of employment, subject to applicable law.

Compensation:

• Estimated annual base salary range: $60,000 to $65,000.
• Final compensation based on factors such as skill set, experience, certifications, and software expertise.
• Open discussions about compensation in initial calls.
