Description

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Course Advisor to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is crucial for ensuring that PGA TOUR players, members, and guests have a smooth and enjoyable golfing experience at our club.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a country club or equivalent.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Assist PGA TOUR players, members, and guests with their golfing needs, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience.
  • Greet and welcome members and guests.
  • At opening, assist in pulling golf cars from the golf car facility to the bag staging area.
  • Remove golf bags from members’ and guests' cars and load them onto a golf cart. Where applicable, drive the golf car to the staging area.
  • Provide members and guests with helpful information for playing the course, such as yardage markers.
  • Ensure golf cars are thoroughly cleaned, well-maintained, and stocked with towels, scorecards, pencils, and divot repair materials.
  • Drive dirty golf cars to the washing area, clean and restock them, and at closing, plug them into the battery charger.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly Golf Car Facility.
  • Perform periodic car maintenance and minor special repairs, updating car service records.
  • Service the practice facility by driving the picker, collecting, cleaning, and bagging balls, and setting up for play.
  • Assist members and guests as they depart, ensuring golf clubs are cleaned and properly placed in vehicles.
  • Work closely with Golf Shop staff to ensure all club rules, including dress code and beverage policy, are followed by members and guests.
  • Ensure no member or guest carries their clubs in restricted areas.
  • Perform special projects or other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands and Working Environment:

  • The position involves exposure to various outdoor weather conditions.
  • This is a very active role requiring lifting, pulling, or pushing up to or over 25 pounds, and moving items with awkward weights.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, color vision, distance and peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

  • An essential function of the job is to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local safety and health regulations.
