Essential Job Functions
Classification Duties:
- In conjunction with the Head and First Assistant Coaches, implement specific sporting strategies to improve individual and/or team performance. Provide individual and/or group instruction on proper techniques, mechanics, and approaches specific to an area. Monitor and adjust training plans as needed based on player progress and team needs. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices and apply them to coaching strategies. (B2)
- Provide feedback and guidance to the Head Coach regarding the recruitment of student-athletes. (B2)
- Lead practice sessions and drills to enhance skills.
- Analyze player performance data to identify areas of improvement and develop individualized training plans. Provide ongoing feedback and guidance to players to help them reach their full potential.
- Assist the Head Coach with coordinating travel, game/competition schedules, and practices by ensuring reservations and availability meet season specifications, and complete administrative tasks as required.
- Supervise team activities. This includes, but is not limited to, attendance at home contests of the College’s other sports programs and campus and community events. Prepare sporting equipment for practices and games by ensuring equipment is properly handled and maintained at all times. (B2)

- Working with diverse academic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds of college students and staff;
- Utilizing communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to give and receive work direction.
