Head Coach - MCHS Girls Bowling
Description

Montgomery County Schools is seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Coach for the Girls Bowling team at Montgomery County High School (MCHS). The successful candidate will be responsible for coaching and teaching performance skills, planning and organizing practices and competitions, and serving as a role model for students.

Performance Responsibilities:

  • Coaching & Teaching: Coach and teach performance skills of the sport to participating students, utilizing district, conference, and state-approved criteria.
  • Planning & Organizing: Plan, schedule, organize, and direct/supervise all practices, games, competitions, and related activities.
  • Compliance: Monitor and enforce student eligibility criteria and all regulations of school, district, conference, KHSAA, and other relevant organizations.
  • Professional Conduct: Maintain professional conduct and serve as a role model for youth in the program; act as an ambassador when representing the district during school functions and activities.
  • Administration: Prepare and maintain budgets, reports, documents, and other paperwork as required by the supervisor or superintendent.
  • Student Participation: Develop and implement plans for increasing student participation and success, including providing leadership for lower-level teams and civic leagues.
  • Equipment Management: Maintain an inventory of all equipment and supplies, ensuring proper repair and good working condition of all equipment, and complying with all safety regulations.
  • Communication & Leadership: Provide leadership and communication with booster and support organizations, and keep school administration informed about organizations' activities.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other tasks and assume additional responsibilities as assigned by the Principal, Athletic Director, or Superintendent.

Qualifications:

  • Previous coaching experience in bowling or related sports.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and community members.
  • Knowledge of KHSAA regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining a positive and professional image as a representative of Montgomery County Schools.
