Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of a competitive Division III women's basketball program. This includes scheduling, practice and game coaching, recruiting, budgeting, fundraising, and all travel associated with the women's basketball program.
- Mentor and coach student-athletes, assisting them in the development of basketball skills and an understanding of strategies necessary to succeed.
- Participate in committees and provide service to the Department, University, and Profession.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
- Demonstrated record of successful basketball ability.
- Demonstrated record of coaching and recruiting in the sport of women's basketball.
- High level of motivation with strong interpersonal skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel and work a flexible schedule.
- Ability to supervise staff and work with student employees.
- Commitment to diversity and the needs of diverse faculty, staff, students, and university community.
- Willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues for program growth and enhancement.
- Possess current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification or ability to immediately obtain.
- Valid state driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree.
- Prior experience at the Division III level.
- Interest in, and commitment to, community engagement.
Additional Information:
This is a full-time, 10-month Appendix - A appointed position. The start date will be negotiated with the final candidate and will be no later than October 1, 2024. The salary range for this position is $65,000-$70,000, commensurate with experience.
