Athletic Trainer
Description
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals in providing injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and emergency care of injuries/illnesses for sport club participants while working within the scope of the AT/Physician MOA.
  • Serve as a clinical preceptor for Campus Recreation student participants.
  • Record and maintain appropriate medical records for treatment given, assist with the scheduling of physician and treatment appointments, and assist in the inventory of athletic training supplies and equipment in departmental activity and athletic training spaces.
  • Contribute to the administration and management of Campus Recreation risk prevention and management strategies and processes. Ensure appropriate staff are trained in related response protocols.
  • Provide support to patron and participant education in athletic training, injury prevention, and other related wellbeing topics.
  • Maintain professional continuing educational units and professional credentialing/licensing as outlined by the NATA and State of Florida laws.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree and one year of experience.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain the National Athletic Trainers Association certificate.
