Academy Analyst
Description

Responsibilities and Duties:

Major Roles:

  • Manage video capture, editing, and storage of all training sessions, matches, and ancillary programming; experience piloting and filming using DJI Drone Products.
  • Support player development initiatives through video analysis and presentations to players, staff, and club leadership.
  • Communicate updates for first-team and second-team analytics staff on academy teams and individuals.
  • Live, individual, and post-game coding of CITY SC select academy matches.
  • Provide analysis of select opponents from MLS Next league play and national events.
  • Track and manage individual player and team KPIs for use in benchmarking and education.
  • Continue development and management of video libraries for defining positional profiles.
  • Continue development and management of video libraries for coach education.
  • Monitor and maintain video equipment and software partnerships.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt and problem-solve.
  • Experience and knowledge of analysis software, such as Hudl Sports Products and Wyscout.
  • Strong knowledge of soccer techniques and tactics with an emphasis on player development.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and an interest in technology, software, and data.
  • Able to work flexible hours, including nights, holidays, and weekends; travel with Academy to select away matches.
