Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

• Support the Head Coach in instructing athletes on the fundamentals of basketball.
• Attend all practices and coach at the individual, small group, and team levels.
• Model sportsmanship and maintain appropriate conduct towards athletes, officials, and spectators.
• Communicate effectively with coaching staff, student-athletes, parents, and school administration.
• Participate in special events, including banquets, award nights, and pep assemblies.
• Follow and maintain knowledge of all District policies and procedures.
• Abide by strict confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications:

• A current Iowa Department of Education coaching authorization.
• Experience coaching basketball at the high school level preferred.

Compensation: $4,189 season stipend
