Description
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coach the defensive line.
- Coordinate and manage the strength and conditioning program for the football team.
- Manage and operate the Wildcat Fitness Center.
- Schedule and coordinate lifting times for other varsity sports on campus.
- Provide expert-level advice to all varsity coaches regarding their strength training programs.
- Oversee and schedule student workers through the work-study program.
- Perform related duties as required or directed.
Supervision
- General and Administrative Direction: Athletic Director
- Direct Supervision: Associate Athletic Director / Head Football Coach
Work Schedule: 40+ hours per week, including some nights and weekends. Incumbents are subject to overtime as deemed necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3-5 years of coaching experience
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Accredited strength and conditioning certification (CSCS, USAW) or willingness to obtain said certification.
Physical Requirements
- Work requires heavy physical exertion (over 50 pounds) on a continuous basis (over 50% of time).
Environmental Conditions
- Frequent exposure to various working conditions or outside elements.
- Potential exposure to a variety of elements which are potentially hazardous or harmful, requiring well-defined precautions for protection from injury or illness.
