Assistant Football Coach / Wildcat Fitness Manager
Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coach the defensive line.
  • Coordinate and manage the strength and conditioning program for the football team.
  • Manage and operate the Wildcat Fitness Center.
  • Schedule and coordinate lifting times for other varsity sports on campus.
  • Provide expert-level advice to all varsity coaches regarding their strength training programs.
  • Oversee and schedule student workers through the work-study program.
  • Perform related duties as required or directed.

Supervision

  • General and Administrative Direction: Athletic Director
  • Direct Supervision: Associate Athletic Director / Head Football Coach

Work Schedule: 40+ hours per week, including some nights and weekends. Incumbents are subject to overtime as deemed necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3-5 years of coaching experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's Degree
  • Accredited strength and conditioning certification (CSCS, USAW) or willingness to obtain said certification.

Physical Requirements

  • Work requires heavy physical exertion (over 50 pounds) on a continuous basis (over 50% of time).

Environmental Conditions

  • Frequent exposure to various working conditions or outside elements.
  • Potential exposure to a variety of elements which are potentially hazardous or harmful, requiring well-defined precautions for protection from injury or illness.
