Discovery Land Company is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Golf Pro to join our team. We are a dynamic and private luxury residential community, and our goal is to create unforgettable golf experiences for our members and their guests.

The Assistant Golf Pro will work closely with the Head Golf Professional and other team members to deliver exceptional service while supporting the daily operations of the golf program. You will be an integral part of the team, providing golf instruction, assisting with tournaments, and ensuring an exceptional member experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing day-to-day golf operations, including tee time reservations, check-ins, and ensuring a smooth pace of play.
• Provide professional golf instruction through private lessons, group clinics, and junior programs.
• Support the Head Golf Professional with organizing and managing tournaments, outings, and events.
• Actively participate in merchandising efforts, including inventory control, display management, and member sales.
• Ensure all members and guests receive the highest level of customer service and satisfaction.
• Maintain a positive, welcoming environment in the pro shop and on the golf course.
• Assist with golf equipment rentals, repairs, and custom club fitting.
• Stay informed about current trends in the golf industry and share knowledge with members and staff.
• Assist with golf cart and practice facility management.

Qualifications:

• PGA or LPGA Member or Apprentice in good standing.
• Previous experience as an Assistant Golf Professional or similar role in a private, semi-private, or resort environment.
• Strong knowledge of the game of golf, including rules, techniques, and etiquette.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on member satisfaction.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and special events.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient with golf-specific software (POS systems, tournament software, etc.).
• A passion for the game of golf and a commitment to professional growth and development.
