Position Overview:
The Assistant Golf Professional II is an entry-level position responsible for coordinating various golf-related activities at the club. You’ll work alongside PGA TOUR players, club members, and guests to ensure a premium golf experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Administration, Business Management, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 2-4 years of professional golf experience
- Registered PGA apprentice or current PGA Member in good standing
- Prior supervisory experience preferred
- Knowledge of golf course operations and practices
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Assist PGA TOUR players, members, and guests, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable golf experience
- Greet and assist members and guests with professionalism and courtesy
- Manage the golf shop, opening, closing, and securing areas as needed
- Operate the point-of-sale system, collect fees, and process transactions accurately
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the golf shop
- Sell and promote merchandise, becoming knowledgeable about Golf Shop products and sales techniques
- Assist with club repairs, physical inventories, and management of the club's handicap system
- Participate in player development programs and club tournament events
- Complete required paperwork (e.g., daily usage reports, inventory, variance reports)
- Special projects or other duties as assigned
Physical Demands/Working Environment:
- Professional office and outdoor work environment
- Requires standing, walking, sitting, kneeling, and lifting up to 25 lbs
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions
- Ability to comply with all applicable safety and health regulations

Work Schedule Expectations:
Flexible shifts as needed, based on business demands.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position acts as a team lead.
