Assistant Mens Soccer Coach - FP1ENCREDCOACH
Description
- Serve as a Head Coach or Assistant Coach of an assigned College of DuPage Intercollegiate Sports team.
- Provide coaching leadership that aligns with the College of DuPage mission, vision, and core values.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the sport, including practices and games.
- Ensure compliance with all College of DuPage and NJCAA eligibility and academic progress requirements for student-athletes.
- Collaborate with the Office of Admission to recruit prospective student-athletes from high schools, following NJCAA guidelines.
- Adhere to all college policies related to team budgets and overall college financial practices.
- Assist in arranging travel and transportation and manage funds for team travel.
- Monitor sportsmanship and conduct of student-athletes on and off the field/court.
- Perform duties and responsibilities in accordance with college and athletic department policies, procedures, and core values.
- Attend coaches department meetings as scheduled.
- Perform other duties as determined in consultation with the Athletic Director or designee.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associates degree, or a combination of education and coaching experience equivalent to 2 years, is required.
- Experience:
- Demonstrated knowledge of innovative and proven coaching strategies and techniques is required.
- Proven leadership abilities, with a commitment to fostering a positive and productive playing environment for all team members, are required.
- Proven ability to provide mentoring and leadership to student-athletes and a commitment to student-athlete welfare is required.
- Knowledge of and adherence to NJCAA rules/requirements relevant to the conduct of an intercollegiate program is required.
- Proven ability to work effectively with diverse groups is required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills are required.
- Ability to work and/or travel on a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, or limited overnight assignments, is required.
- COD Training: CPR/AED certification.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work extended hours during specific sport seasons for practices, games, and recruiting.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must have or acquire any coaching certification or license required for coaching.
- This position is subject to a criminal and motor vehicles background check.
