The Club at Carlton Woods is seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Professional of Racquet Sports to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to grow in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Qualifications:
- USPTA certified
- Minimum 4.5+ playing level
- 1-2 years of full-time teaching experience
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with staff and members
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic
- Experience with Ladies’ group drills; Pickleball experience is a plus
- Availability on Saturdays is required
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct group and private tennis lessons for all skill levels
- Assist in implementing new programs and events for tennis and pickleball
- String and grip racquets
- Organize Junior Tennis Program classes
- Supervise tennis activities, court fees, and equipment rentals
- Promote Carlton Woods’ Racquet Sports through events and social activities
- Attend professional tennis meetings and tournaments as approved by the Director of Tennis
- Maintain a positive and collaborative relationship with other club professionals
General Duties:
- Dress in proper tennis attire
- Enforce club rules and regulations
- Assist in preparing and presenting racquet sports socials, tournaments, and leagues
- Ensure all on-court activities begin on time
- Provide feedback for program improvements
Programs:
- Support the Director in delivering tennis programs for all membership demographics (juniors, adults, seniors)
- Help organize events that engage club members
- Provide instructional opportunities for member education
Maintenance:
- Daily inspection of courts/facilities to ensure readiness for play
- Communicate maintenance issues to the Director of Tennis
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the tennis facility
Tennis Pro Shop Operations:
- Assist in smooth billing operations and customer service in the Pro Shop
- Participate in monthly inventory counts
Compensation and Benefits:
- Full-time position with hourly wage and lesson/stringing commissions
