Dakota College at Bottineau is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Softball Coach. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head Coach in various aspects of the softball program. Responsibilities include recruiting quality student-athletes, teaching and training students in competition-related skills and strategies, scouting and preparing reports, planning for game days, organizing team workouts, managing player personnel, assisting with fundraising events, and mentoring student-athletes to ensure their academic success. Additional duties related to the softball program may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications Required:
- Associate's degree (2-year)
- Strong background and experience in softball, both playing and coaching
- Ability to represent Dakota College at Bottineau professionally
- Valid driver’s license
- Good interpersonal skills
Qualifications Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree (4-year)
- Previous playing/coaching experience at the college level
- Knowledge of pitching or hitting
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Additional Requirements:
The Assistant Coach is expected to represent Dakota College at Bottineau in a professional manner, ensuring compliance with college, NJCAA, and Mon-Dak guidelines governing the sport.
Salary: $3,000 - $5,000
Closing Date: Screening will begin on August 26, 2024, and will continue until a qualified candidate is hired.
