Assistant Sports Information Director
Description

Keiser University is seeking a dedicated and professional Assistant Sports Information Director to join our team. This position reports to the Assistant Athletic Director of Communications and serves as a department liaison for athletic media and communications. The role involves maintaining and updating team and individual statistics for Keiser University’s intercollegiate athletic programs and assisting in game day oversight of statistics, streaming broadcast, and/or game day staff. Additionally, the Assistant Sports Information Director will create weekly/bi-weekly updates for the Keiser University athletic program newsletter, handle primary graphic design for the Keiser Athletic Department, and assist in managing social media and the department website. These responsibilities are performed in an ethical manner consistent with the University’s mission and vision.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining and updating individual statistics for all intercollegiate athletic programs in the conference and NAIA.
  • Maintain information on the Athletics webpage, including updating scores, providing game recaps, conducting coach/player interviews, and live broadcasts.
  • Archive player and game statistics, and maintain history and record books of all athletic teams.
  • Work closely with Keiser coaching staff to ensure all statistics are accurate.
  • Communicate with and submit scores and information to The Sun Conference and any other athletic conference Keiser University is associated with (NAIA).
  • Input rosters and schedules and synchronize all stat programs between NAIA-Sun Conference-Keiser.
  • Assist and/or oversee the press box and/or scoring tables for athletic contests.
  • Develop collateral, including posters, schedule cards, game day guides, and promotional flyers to raise brand awareness, increase attendance, generate revenue, and maximize fan engagement.
  • Develop weekly and game-day email graphics, social media templates, and general use graphics for social media and video boards.
  • Ensure a themed and consistent look and messaging in the promotion of the Keiser Athletics brand.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.

Expectations:

  • Submit all required assignments on or before designated due dates.
  • Report any known violations or concerns to administration.
  • Conform to all Athletic Department policies and procedures.
  • Represent Keiser University and the Athletic Department as a team player, professional, and role model for all student-athletes.
  • Attend regularly scheduled Athletic Department Staff meetings.
  • Possess a valid CPR Certification.
  • Work cooperatively and in coordination with the Director of Special Events and Public Relations.

Additional Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of advanced collegiate sports information experience.
  • Strong service-oriented skills and exceptional customer service attitude.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials.
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
  • Skilled in the use of computers and related software applications.
  • Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing.
  • Willingness to learn Microsoft Office Suite Programs, Adobe Photoshop, and Dak Stats.

Availability: This is a full-time position that requires day, evening, and weekend availability.
