Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Sports Turf Manager to join our team. This role is essential for maintaining high-quality sports fields and ensuring they are safe, clean, and well-maintained for general use and scheduled events.

Duties:

  • Perform skin maintenance, clay repair on plates and mounds, painting, chalking, mowing, edging, irrigation work, aerating, topdressing, and fertility program management.
  • Set up and break down temporary fences.
  • Handle equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Develop programming and plans for field maintenance according to departmental standards.
  • Coordinate and perform work to ensure the upkeep and maintenance of all fields.
  • Cooperate and communicate with necessary staff to provide safe, clean, and well-maintained fields.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays during the season.
  • Work with administrative and office staff in developing a budget, maintaining records, and following purchasing and procurement procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Facility Maintenance Manager as needed.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of sports turf maintenance or relevant experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.

Salary: $41,600 plus overtime.
