Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology has an amazing opportunity for individuals excited and dedicated to becoming the Part-time Assistant Track & Field Jump Coach at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Responsibilities:

  • Coach student-athletes as assigned by the Head Coach.
  • Assist with team and player development and training.
  • Contribute ideas and input for practices.
  • Lead and demonstrate practices in the absence of the head coach.
  • Supervise other coaches and may have specific positional coordination responsibilities.
  • Evaluate athlete performances and make recommendations and/or decisions regarding participation in competitions.
  • Ensure compliance with NCAA and HCAC rules operating within Institute and sports-specific policies.
  • Collaborate with trainers and other staff (equipment, sports information, facilities) assigned to the team.
  • Identify, evaluate, and assist with the ongoing recruitment of prospective athletes.
  • Recruitment responsibilities may be off-campus, including home visits, and assist with on-campus visits (National or International).
  • Support team and players to thrive academically; integrate athletes with Institute and department services.
  • Participate in scheduling, planning, and travel arrangements, which may include transporting to away competitions.
  • Research and recommend equipment purchases.
  • Communicate with alumni and friends of the program and assist with fundraising for the program.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 1-2 years of experience playing at the collegiate or professional level.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree.
  • College coaching experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit academically oriented student-athletes.
