Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, ranked No. 1 among U.S. engineering colleges by the U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges Guide for the past 25 years, is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach. This is an exceptional opportunity for individuals passionate about collegiate athletics and committed to student-athlete development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support in managing the Women’s Basketball program, including recruitment, training, and leadership for student-athletes.
• Assist with team and player development, training, and input on practice strategies.
• Lead practices in the absence of the head coach and take on specific positional coaching responsibilities.
• Evaluate athletes’ performance and recommend or decide on their participation in competitions.
• Coordinate ongoing recruitment efforts, including off-campus home visits and on-campus recruitment events for national and international prospective athletes.
• Collaborate with trainers, equipment staff, sports information, and facilities teams to ensure the program runs smoothly.
• Support team travel, scheduling, and equipment logistics, including transporting athletes to away competitions.
• Assist with fundraising efforts by engaging alumni and friends of the program.
• Ensure compliance with NCAA and HCAC rules, as well as institute and sport-specific policies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 1-2 years of collegiate or professional playing experience.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and foster positive experiences for student-athletes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree.
• Previous college coaching experience.
• Proven ability to recruit academically driven student-athletes.
