Foster-Glocester Regional School District is seeking a dedicated and motivated Athletic Trainer to join our team and support the success of our student-athletes. The Athletic Trainer plays a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and optimal performance of all student-athletes, working closely with staff, colleagues, and administrators.
General Statement of Duties:
The Athletic Trainer will:
- Collaborate as a team member with staff, colleagues, and administrators to enhance the participation and progress of all student-athletes.
- Implement evidence-based practices and supports that promote the health, safety, and well-being of student-athletes.
- Provide preventative care, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention, and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions.
- Act in a manner consistent with the mission of the district and the goals of the schools.
Supervision Received:
- The Athletic Trainer reports to the Athletic Director and school administrators. The role allows for the exercise of independent professional judgment, guided by the mission and goals of the district and school. Work is subject to periodic review to ensure alignment with district objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or a related field.
- Certification by the Board of Certification (BOC) for the Athletic Trainer.
- State licensure as required by Rhode Island law.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
