Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid ID.
• Must reside or be willing to commute to the Nassau County, Long Island area and have a reliable means of transportation.
• Must be extremely outgoing, willing to interact with Islanders fans of all ages at every game and community appearance, and comfortable in front of large crowds.
• Must have a flexible schedule to attend games (weeknights and weekends- including playoffs), all rehearsals, and holidays as required.
• Bring your own water & food.

Things to Know:

• If selected for the team, a one-year contract and commitment are required, along with agreement to abide by rules and regulations in the employee handbook.
• The role is a part-time seasonal position and team members are paid for all work. This includes rehearsals, game days, appearances, photoshoots, meetings, etc.
• The Energy Team’s primary purpose is to welcome and engage fans with their energetic, outgoing personality, and cheerful spirit. Help execute interactive promotions, selection of contestants for contests, pre-game & post-game performances, t-shirt tosses, enhance the production and execution of promotions during games, collect fan feedback and be a team player.

Judging:

• Representation of the New York Islanders brand and values.
• Group panel interviews.
• Athleticism.
• Group workout—Warm Up.
• Ability to sustain choreography.
• Freestyle/Special Skills Talent:
  • Kip Up, Headspring, Double/Triple Pirouette, Hand hops/windmills, Standing tuck/specialty tumbling pass to tuck/layout/full.
• Energy Engagement:
  • T-shirt Tosses, Flag Waving, Get Loud/Make Noise Signs, Camera Interaction.
• Choreography:
  • Evaluated throughout the audition process.

• Must not exceed 1:30. All recorded material should be recent.
• 30-second Introduction: We want to see your personality!
  • Full name, age, hometown, what makes you unique?
• 60-second skills highlight reel:
  • Preferred genre of movement, freestyle, breaking, tumbling – highest level of standing/running tumbling pass.

Video Location:

• Make the best of your filming environment, even if it's just your home or backyard. Keep backgrounds uncluttered so we can focus on you. When filming tumbling, stick to surfaces like grass, basketball courts, or dance floors. Avoid spring floors if you're tumbling.

Video Technical Requirements:

• Please only submit one video file, not multiple. Video must be continuous and NOT EDITED TOGETHER.
• Video must be new, created only for this audition, and not previously recorded.
• Title the video with first and last name – 2024-2025.

Non-dancers and non-tumblers are still encouraged to apply. Please show 10-15 seconds of spiriting/rallying.
