Essential Functions:

  • Provide preventative care, treatment, and rehabilitation for athletes' injuries.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on injury analysis and evaluation.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to athlete health and performance.
  • Conduct regular assessments and maintain detailed records of athletes' progress and health status.
  • Educate athletes on injury prevention, nutrition, and overall health and wellness.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards for athletic training.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of strength and conditioning programs.
  • Travel with teams to provide on-site athletic training services during competitions and events.

Non-Essential Functions:

  • Assist in the organization and execution of athletic events and programs.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to athletic training and sports medicine.
  • Support the overall mission and goals of the athletic department and IMG Academy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training, Sports Medicine, or a related field.
  • Certification by the Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers.
  • State licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Athletic Trainer.
  • At least 2 years of experience working as an athletic trainer, preferably in a high school or collegiate setting.
  • Strong knowledge of sports-related injuries and treatments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
