The Madison Capitols, members of the United States Hockey League (USHL), are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic In-Game Host to join our team for the 2024-2025 season. This role is essential for engaging with fans and ensuring an entertaining experience during home games.
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to attend all Capitols home games during the 2024-2025 season, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Serve as the primary on-camera and on-mic personality during home games, interacting with fans and encouraging their participation.
- Lead and announce in-game promotions, contests, and activities, ensuring fans are entertained and engaged throughout the event.
- Follow the game script closely to ensure all planned promotions, announcements, and activities are executed on time and according to plan.
- Adapt quickly to changes in the game script or unexpected events, maintaining a seamless and entertaining presentation.
- Positive attitude and willingness to actively engage and interact with fans.
- Strong personal and communication skills.
- Proactive, service-oriented mentality that will assist every department with its respective needs.
- Ability to work proactively and independently with a can-do attitude.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt in a fun, fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, willingness to accept all tasks assigned, and the ability to learn quickly.
- Understanding that working in sports is different from being a fan. This position does not guarantee candidates will be able to watch games. Many valuable positions within the organization are behind the scenes and provide little ability to watch the games.
About the Team:
The Madison Capitols are celebrating their 10th anniversary and are coming off a record-breaking season on the ice. Off the ice, the Capitols had their highest average attendance since the team's first season back in 2014-15.
