Racquets Professional/ Men’s Coordinator
Description

The Racquets Professional/ Men’s Coordinator is responsible for collaborating with the Director of Racquets to develop a comprehensive program for men’s activities, including both competitive and recreational components. This role requires strong leadership skills, a passion for racquet sports, and the ability to foster an engaging community for players of all ages and skill levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive men’s racquet sports program, including competitive and recreational activities, in collaboration with the Director of Racquets.
  • Act as an enthusiastic ambassador for racquet sports within the Club.
  • Provide private and group lessons for adults and children, tailored to different skill levels.
  • Play tennis and pickleball at a high level, offering instruction to members to facilitate skill development and relationship building.
  • Ensure consistent, efficient, and seamless daily operation of the Club-wide racquets activities, exceeding member expectations.
  • Encourage member participation by assisting the Director of Racquets in planning events that promote sportsmanship and fellowship.
  • Organize, schedule, and manage tournaments, clinics, round robins, social events, and other racquet-related activities.
  • Assist in creating a comprehensive events, leagues, and instructional program for all skill levels.
  • Participate in administrative responsibilities, including the ICC shop and junior summer camp.
  • Implement the ICC teaching philosophy across all racquet programs.
  • Manage the department’s POS operations, ensuring accurate member billing and sales/activity reports.
  • Attend all relevant ICC staff meetings.
  • Collaborate with the Club’s Maintenance Staff to ensure optimal facility conditions.
  • Enforce Club rules and regulations regarding facility use, equipment, dress code, and sportsmanship.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience teaching tennis and related activities.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to maintain positive relationships with members, employees, and supervisors.
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • Valid Florida driver’s license and insurability under the company’s auto insurance policy.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • USPTA Elite or PTR certified Pro or higher.
  • Minimum 5.0 USTA playing ability.
  • Service-oriented mindset.
