Polo Tennis and Fitness Club is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and experienced Racquets Sports Professional to join our dynamic team. We pride ourselves on fostering a supportive, team-oriented environment that promotes both personal and professional growth. As a key part of our racquets program, you will be responsible for providing top-quality coaching, training, and mentoring in tennis and other racquet sports, ensuring our members have a superior experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instruction & Coaching:
- Deliver high-quality tennis and racquet sports lessons to individuals of all ages and skill levels (beginner to advanced).
- Plan and conduct private lessons, group clinics, and specialized programs.
- Assist in the development and implementation of seasonal tennis programs and camps.
- Program Development:
- Work closely with the Director of Racquets to create engaging programs, events, and tournaments that cater to players of varying skill levels.
- Promote and organize internal tournaments, leagues, and other events to encourage member participation.
- Member Engagement:
- Foster positive relationships with members, addressing their needs, providing personalized attention, and encouraging involvement in club programs.
- Communicate club offerings, services, and events to members in a proactive and professional manner.
- Club Representation:
- Act as an ambassador for Polo Tennis and Fitness Club, representing our values of excellence and inclusivity.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging coaching techniques, and developments in racquet sports.
- Facilities & Equipment:
- Ensure courts, equipment, and facilities are well-maintained and in top condition for optimal playing experience.
- Provide recommendations on new equipment and assist with pro shop sales as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- USPTA or PTR Certification (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience coaching tennis and other racquet sports (pickleball, platform tennis, or squash is a plus).
- Strong understanding of tennis techniques, strategies, and modern coaching methods.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of ages and skill levels.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Team-oriented attitude with the ability to work collaboratively with staff, coaches, and management.
Preferred Skills & Attributes:
- Previous experience in organizing tournaments, clinics, and social events.
- Knowledge of racquet sports beyond tennis (such as pickleball, paddle tennis, or squash).
- A passion for promoting an active and healthy lifestyle through sports.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
