Eldora is located just outside of the charming mountain town of Nederland, Colorado, about 20 miles west of Boulder and less than 50 miles from downtown Denver. What You Get to Do: As a Ski & Ride School 4-6 Specialist Instructor, you will be an expert at keeping things light and focusing on fun in a creative and friendly way, all while providing unparalleled learning and customer service experiences for our youngest guests. You will instill trust and a love for having fun in our alpine environment while guiding the next generation of skiers/riders to discover the joys of winter sports. Our 4-6 specialist instructors work throughout the season and ensure the best possible experience for the Eldora guest, working on an individual basis and as a part of the Eldora team. Previous experience with teaching/coaching/mentoring children or customer service is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach skiing or snowboarding with a keen focus on the welfare of the students.
  • Communicate effectively with children and parents to build long-lasting relationships with the entire family.
  • Share your love for skiing/riding in a way that 4-6-year-olds can relate to in a safe and effective manner.
  • Attend our free, ongoing ski & snowboard training to develop personal skills.
  • Live the Eldora culture of being welcoming and inclusive while abiding by our policies.
  • Work with the SRS team in teaching and non-teaching duties.
  • Access daily schedules and company notices electronically.
  • Other duties as assigned by SRS Management.

Basic Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
  • A criminal background check will be conducted after the position is accepted.
  • High School degree or equivalent.
  • Ability to ski and ride well.
  • Able to work long and irregular hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Excellent communicator and team player.
  • Previous experience working with children (4-14 years old) preferred.
  • Must have empathy and patience.

  • Minimum age 18.
  • Willing to teach any age range (child through adult).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current PSIA-AASI certification/s.

Compensation:

  • Proposed hiring rate of $18+/hour (non-certified), $21+/hour (PSIA-AASI certified). Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
