Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Strength and Conditioning Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of sports performance training, injury prevention, and recovery techniques tailored to professional baseball athletes. You will work closely with players, coaching staff, and medical professionals to design, implement, and supervise training programs that improve player strength, speed, endurance, and flexibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement strength and conditioning programs tailored to individual player needs, goals, and performance metrics.
- Conduct regular fitness assessments and monitoring to track player progress and adjust programs as necessary.
- Collaborate with athletic trainers and medical staff to prevent injuries, rehabilitate players, and optimize physical performance.
- Educate players on proper lifting techniques, nutrition, and recovery protocols to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Oversee in-season and off-season training programs to maintain peak physical conditioning throughout the year.
- Monitor and manage weight room equipment and ensure it is properly maintained.
- Maintain detailed records of player training sessions, injury reports, and overall fitness levels.
- Develop a positive and motivating environment that promotes teamwork, discipline, and a strong work ethic.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Medicine, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Current certification as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) or equivalent certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Strength and Conditioning Coach, preferably with a focus on baseball or professional sports.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful strength and conditioning programs.
- Strong knowledge of injury prevention, rehabilitation, and sports performance enhancement techniques.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and during the baseball season.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire athletes.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with professional or collegiate athletes.
- Knowledge of current trends and technologies in strength and conditioning, including sports science and performance analytics.
- CPR and First Aid certified.
