The Village School of Naples, a Christian-based educational institution serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Varsity Girls Basketball Coach. Duties and Responsibilities:

Coaching and Instruction:

• Develop and implement basketball strategies and training programs that align with the development and performance of student-athletes.
• Teach fundamental skills, advanced techniques, and game strategies tailored to players' abilities and experience levels.
• Conduct practice sessions that integrate competitive situations, emphasizing character development, sportsmanship, and teamwork.

Player Development:

• Assess players' strengths and areas for improvement, providing individualized guidance and mentorship.
• Create a supportive and encouraging environment that nurtures spiritual growth alongside athletic achievement.
• Foster a positive team culture rooted in values of respect, integrity, and humility.

Game Management:

• Prepare and execute game plans that reflect a competitive and strategic advantage while building culture and sportsmanship.
• Utilize effective communication and leadership skills to guide players through competitive situations with grace and humility.

Program Development:

• Collaborate with athletic department staff to set program goals that align with the school's mission and values.
• Assist in recruiting and retaining student-athletes who exemplify the school's academic and Christian values.
• Engage with parents and the broader school community to promote the program's mission and achievements.

Community Engagement:

• Build positive relationships with players, parents, school administration, and community members, reflecting our values in all interactions.
• Represent the program with integrity and professionalism, both on and off the court.

Qualifications:

• Previous coaching experience, preferably at the high school level or above.
• Understanding of basketball fundamentals, strategies, and coaching techniques, with a commitment to integrating development into coaching practices.
• Strong leadership abilities, demonstrating a Christ-centered approach to motivating and inspiring young athletes.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive team environment grounded in Christian faith.
• Valid coaching certification or willingness to obtain one.
