Position Summary: As a Lead Soccer Coach, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that kids and their families have a safe, fun, and engaging soccer experience. You will manage practices for groups ranging from 10 to over 30 kids, utilizing provided resources and curriculum to plan effective drills and activities. Your leadership will guide both kids and other coaches through program drills in an enthusiastic and dynamic manner.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the direct contact for kids and families to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
• Conduct practices for small (10 kids) to large (30+ kids) groups.
• Plan and execute practice drills using provided resources and curriculum.
• Lead kids and other coaches through program drills in a fun and engaging way.
• Seamlessly transition between drills to maintain player engagement and utilize volunteers to prevent downtime.
• Lead pre-game and post-game huddles emphasizing sportsmanship and mindfulness.
• Manage field setup and cleanup each week.
• Provide guidance and support to volunteers regarding drills and roles.
• Address any issues with parents, players, or venues, and report them to the site lead.
• Jump in as admin support if needed.

Must-Haves:

• Minimum of 1 year of coaching or teaching experience.
• Attendance at mandatory staff training.
