Assistant Coach - Baseball
Description
The Assistant Coach of Valor Christian Athletic exists to prepare tomorrow’s leaders to transform the world for Christ through the platform of sports. As a committed follower of Jesus Christ, the Coach will support the program by developing athletes’ faith, fostering Christian character, instilling great work habits, and emphasizing academic excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Spiritual and Character Leadership:
- Demonstrate a growing relationship with Christ.
- Embody the fruits of the Spirit in all interactions.
- Seamlessly integrate Biblical truth and Christian values into daily work.
- Athlete Development:
- Develop and execute a Spiritual and Character Development Plan.
- Mentor student-athletes to develop their God-given abilities both on and off the field.
- Support the academic and athletic growth of student-athletes.
- Team Support and Coaching:
- Collaborate with the Head Coach to implement the team plan.
- Participate in practice planning, film breakdown, game analysis, and scouting.
- Partner with parents and the broader athletic community.
- Community and Culture:
- Engage actively in the Valor Coaches Association and broader school community.
- Foster teamwork and unity among coaches, athletes, and staff.
- Uphold Valor’s core values and mission.

Education, Experience, and Required Competencies:
- Previous coaching experience in baseball.
- Experience mentoring student-athletes.
- Ability to communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and coaches.
- Must maintain confidentiality and uphold the school’s Christian values.
Position Type: Seasonal, Stipend
Hours per Week: Temporary, Part-time. Not benefit eligible.
Supervisor: Head Coach, Athletic Director
Pay Range: $0-$1,000/month (March, April, May)
