REQUIREMENTS:

• Hold at least a bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or related field.
• Maintain current certification in CPR/Emergency Cardiac Care.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide coverage at all Varsity Football and Basketball Games, including post-season contests as directed by the Athletic Director.
• Offer first aid, injury assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and reconditioning services for Calhoun County High School student-athletes. Make appropriate physician referrals as needed.
• Ensure coverage at home events and practices from the start of the fall sports season to the conclusion of the spring season.
• Coordinate annual athletic physicals and supervise the clearance of injured athletes before and during sports seasons.
• Communicate with parents regarding the care and treatment of their student-athlete.
• File all necessary reports related to athletic injuries and/or incidents.
• Maintain a daily treatment log.
• Equip each team with appropriate medical equipment.
• Assist in the selection and fitting of protective equipment, including special taping, pads, or braces.
• Share relevant professional literature related to athletic training with the coaching staff.
