Mission Ridge Ski Resort is seeking enthusiastic Ski School Instructors who are passionate about skiing or snowboarding and providing outstanding guest service. As an instructor, you will teach children and adults, while contributing to a positive, fun, and safe mountain experience.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Teach skiing or snowboarding skills based on designated schedules provided by Ski School guidelines.
• Provide top-tier guest service to all visitors and act as a role model for the Mission Ridge Ski School.
• Participate in both mandatory and voluntary training sessions to continuously enhance your skills and knowledge.
• Accept and complete work assignments responsibly and with professionalism.
• Offer general mountain information and guidance to guests.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of teaching methods, snow sports products, and operational procedures.
• Report incidents to supervisors and complete necessary paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
• Foster a positive, cooperative work environment with peers and other Mission Ridge departments.
• Work outdoors in winter conditions, which may include harsh weather.
• Engage in moderate physical activity, such as lifting and moving equipment or assisting students.

Preferred Experience:

• Current membership with PSIA (Professional Ski Instructors of America) or another recognized teaching association.
• Previous teaching experience or relevant degrees and certificates in education.
• Background in early childhood education or pre-school teaching.
• Experience working with, coaching, or teaching children in group settings.
• Minimum skiing or snowboarding proficiency at level 6 (intermediate).

Ski School Hiring Process:

1. Submit your application to Mission Ridge.
2. Qualified candidates will be invited to a verbal or online interview screening.
3. Attend paid skiing/snowboarding proficiency evaluation and hiring clinics.
4. Upon successful completion of training, selected candidates will be invited to join the Mission Ridge Ski School team.
