Educational and Experience Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology or a related field.
• Minimum of one year of coaching experience.
• Coaching experience in golf is desirable.
• A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.

Nature & Purpose of Position:
The Coach Associate - Golf serves as a coach, assistant coach, or in another capacity within one or more university-recognized intercollegiate activities or special athletic programs.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Teach and coach student-athletes to perform in Golf.
• Assist the Head Coach in coaching duties and team supervision.
• Maintain team discipline and uphold moral standards at all times, including during special assignments.
• Recruit prospective student-athletes.
• Adhere to National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I sports rules, conference bylaws, compliance regulations, and recruiting rules and policies.
• Support institutional compliance and academic programs, and maintain athletic and academic records.
• Report all NCAA and conference violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Teach, tutor, instruct, or lecture student-athletes in the rules and fundamentals of their sport.
• Instruct student-athletes in areas of physical health, team concepts, and safety, designing instructions to meet individual or team needs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Other Specifications:

• Must possess a thorough understanding of NCAA Division I sports rules, compliance regulations, and conference recruiting rules and policies.
• Ability to develop an appropriate rapport with community and university personnel.
• Knowledgeable of all NCAA and conference rules is required.
• Adherence to NCAA and conference bylaws is mandatory.
• Supports institutional compliance and academic programs.

• Employment is at-will and serves at the pleasure of the Golf Head Coach and the Athletic Director.
• Performance evaluation is based broadly on the employee’s contributions to the team’s performance.
