• Possess thorough knowledge of all athletic policies approved by the Iowa City Board of Education.
• Develop and maintain positive professional relationships with players, coaches, parents, and fans.
• Exhibit an enthusiastic attitude and understanding of intermediate and high school students in an athletic setting.
• Assist in monitoring academic records of student-athletes while adhering to district/state eligibility rules.
• Provide adequate supervision before, during, and after all practices and competitions.
• Develop athletes to their fullest potential, teaching basic fundamentals and progressing to advanced skills.
• Work cooperatively with other programs.
• Commit to working in the summer, on weekends, and at other allowable times to maintain a championship program.
• Perform additional duties as requested by administration.
• Support the health and wellbeing of student-athletes.
• Maintain active CPR certification.
• Other duties as assigned.

Terms of Employment:

Contract days determined by the season of the sport. Salary and calendar year established by the Board of Education.
