The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in journalism, a passion for sports, and exceptional leadership skills. Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 10 years of reporting/editing experience, with five years of managerial experience.
• Experience in building a brand on social media.
• Expertise in writing, spelling, grammar, and AP style.
• Command of media law and Principles of Ethical Conduct.
• Effective communicator with the ability to work with diverse personalities.
• Ability to multitask and excel under intense deadline pressure in a rapidly changing industry.
• Proficient in using time efficiently in a 24-hour newsroom.
• Collaborative within a cross-functional environment.
• Understanding of the competition for our customers’ time and money.
• Self-motivated and self-directed.
• Innovative and creative thinker supporting the team’s goals.
• Employment is contingent on passing a post-offer pre-employment background check.
