RYLAND HUYGHUE
LACROSSE M/W
St. John Bosco Varsity Lacrosse coach, Ryland Huyghue, was named 2014 US Lacrosse Man of the Year- Los Angeles Region by LAX Power. Huyghue is heavily involved in the sport of lacrosse and is a huge advocate for the expansion and development of the sport of lacrosse nationwide.
Coach Huyghue possess unparalleled experience as a player and coach, he is also a man of character that is vested in the formation of his players as young men. The success that Bosco Lacrosse has had this year has surpassed our most optimistic expectations, and is due in large part to Coach Huyghue’s vision and execution. Being named U.S. Lacrosse “Man of the Year” in the Los Angeles Region is an appropriate honor for Ryland. On behalf of the entire St. John Bosco High School Community, we congratulate Ryland for this honor.”
As a leader in the sport of lacrosse, Huyghue, has been solely responsible for the partnership of the lacrosse community and the International Diversity Lacrosse Council for over seven years. In being the CEO and Founder of IDLC, he has been committed to increase the education, exposure, experience and participation of everyone in all levels of lacrosse throughout the world.
AMBER HILL
WOMEN’S LACROSSE – NATIONAL DIRECTOR OF GOALIES
A native of New York, Amber is a decorated goalkeeper at both the collegiate and professional ranks. She played for Syracuse University and while there led the Big East in Saves in 2007 while also garnering Most Outstanding Player at the conference championships that season. She also is 2nd all-time for the Orange in single-season Saves.
After college, Amber led the Haudenosunee Nationals to a first-place finish int the 2019 PanAm Lacrosse World Championship Qualifier. She has won three gold medals in her career: two in the Ontario Women’s Box Lacrosse League and one for the Six Nations Sniper squad in the Women’s Arena Lacrosse League.
Currently, Amber plays professionally for Athletes Unlimited.
